About me

Throughout my training, I have offered support to people who have experienced mild to severe depression and anxiety. This includes supporting clients who experienced relationship breakdown, lacking motivation, emotional dysregulation, bereavement, and other challenges that have negatively impacted their mental health. I am proud to have worked with clients in my local borough throughout my training and with other therapists to enhance my learning and development as a counsellor. I am committed to continuing my professional development by attending training courses and workshops on a regular basis.

I also worked as a counsellor for the NHS Talking Therapies programme (NHS IAPT). This involved working with clients who were experiencing a range of personal hardships and who faced unexpected life events, which resulted in significant anxiety and depression. I worked with clients face to face, over the telephone and online during my time at NHS IAPT.

I have continued to work with clients who have been managing the psychological impact of long-term conditions, to victims of abuse and those with suicidal thoughts. I feel confident in my ability to support you through the issues that are challenging you the most. Talking about the issues that cause you anxiety and distress is the most effective way of building resilience and finding a path forward.

We all deserve the right to be heard and have the space needed to process the difficulties we are experiencing. If you are interested to find out more about counselling with me, please get in touch. I am listed on the Counselling Directory, Psychology Today and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy therapist directory. I am DBS certified and also offer counselling in the Farsi (Persian) language.
